I Found My Purpose: To Do Justice, Not to Hate

Like many people, I’ve always struggled with a simple yet deeply personal question:

Why am I here? Why I was born?

Not in a religious ritualistic sense. Not in a philosophical or poetic way.
But in a raw, human, everyday way.
What’s my role in this world? What am I supposed to be doing… really?

And after years of searching, observing, listening, and failing — I think, I finally arrived at a conviction that gives me clarity, calm, and direction:

💡 My Realization

I am a Khalifa, sent to this planet like all others — a responsible human being. My purpose is to do justice in everything I touch.

🌍 What It Means to Be a Khalifa

In the Qur’an, when God created the first human, He said to the angels:

“Indeed, I will place upon the earth a Khalifa (a caretaker, steward, vicegerent).” — Qur’an 2:30

I think, to me, this wasn’t just about Adam. It was about all of us. You. Me. Everyone.

We are not just consumers or employees or parents or professionals. We are guardians of everything around us — our actions, our relationships, our words, our work, our planet, and our inner selves.

⚖️ Justice Isn’t Just About Courts

When I realized that my job on Earth is to “do justice,” I had to rethink what justice really means.

Justice isn’t some legal term buried in law books. It’s about doing what’s right — even when no one is watching. It’s about being fair, being honest, being humble, and being kind, especially when it’s hard.

• Justice is showing up on time because you respect others’ time.
• It’s not gossiping because reputations are sacred.
• It’s not raising your voice at home, because power doesn’t give you the right to hurt.
• It’s being fair when giving feedback, closing a deal, helping a stranger, or choosing words in a disagreement.

“O you who believe! Stand firmly for justice, even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or your relatives.” — Qur’an 4:135

“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.” — Isaiah 1:17 (Bible)

💡 The Gift and Burden of Free Will

So why did God make us different?

Why not just make us like animals — free from worry, responsibility, guilt?

Because we were given free will — the ability to think, feel, decide, and choose. We were trusted with moral responsibility.

“And We showed him the two paths.” — Qur’an 90:10

We are the only beings on this planet who can reflect, who can say no to evil, who can apologize, who can forgive, and who can choose justice over comfort. That’s the test. That’s the meaning of life.

🧠 The Poison of Hate: A Shortcut to Injustice

We live in a world that’s becoming angrier by the day. People hate others because of skin, sect, country, opinion, or even a post they saw online. We hate people who hate others — and somehow think it’s okay. But it’s not.

If you hate someone because they hate others, you have become the same.

“Do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just — that is closer to righteousness.” — Qur’an 5:8

“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” — Matthew 5:44 (Bible)

Real strength is not in anger. It’s in restraint. Real courage is not in shouting. It’s in being fair, even when your soul craves revenge.

🛤️ How This Changed Me

I think when I understood this, something shifted. I started seeing every interaction as a chance to do justice — from the way I handled feedback at work, to how I dealt with people I disliked, to how I managed my own ego at home.

• When I’m in a tough meeting, my job isn’t to win. It’s to be just.
• When I face someone who’s wronged me, my job isn’t to hate. It’s to be just.
• When I see something unfair, my job isn’t to look away. It’s to be just.

No one told me this. I didn’t find it in a viral video. I learned it through reflection, faith, and falling short enough times to finally listen to my conscience.

🎁 So… What Is the Purpose of Life?

For me, it’s simple now.

The purpose of life is to live with moral clarity. To serve with fairness. To resist hatred. To elevate your soul. And to leave the world better than you found it.

And guess what? This isn’t just a religious idea. It’s human.

“I did not create jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” — Qur’an 51:56

“What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8 (Bible)

True worship isn’t just rituals. It’s doing right when it’s hard. It’s being right when no one expects you to be. That’s justice. That’s purpose.
